Ever since my early years, I have been fascinated by the interaction between humans’ affection, cognition, and behavior, which has deepened with time, leading to a strong interest in psychology. I am also aware of the existing mental health stigma in society nowadays, causing individuals to hesitate to seek help when facing mental health challenges. Hence, with the passion in raising awareness on the importance of mental health and understanding of the significant positive impact that therapy can have on individuals’ lives, I began my journey towards being a clinical psychologist.
I understand how life can be uncertain, challenging and complicated sometimes. There are times what we need is just as simple as having our thoughts be heard and feelings to be expressed, in which this is what therapy sessions are aiming for. As a trainee clinical psychologist, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where the clients will feel comfortable to express and explore their thoughts and emotions. With that in mind, I aim to help the clients to better understand themselves, recognize their own strengths and abilities, as well as learning the skills to assist them in facing life challenges.
